So, what’s the deal this week? Honestly, not much, but weirdly, also a lot. You know what I mean? Like one of those weeks where you’re not exactly busy, but somehow, there’s a ton happening. Anyway—oh right! Gradius Origins. Remember that from the March Switch 1 Direct? It’s back ’cause, apparently, those lasers gotta handle the final boss in NES Pro Wrestling. Makes perfect sense… sorta. If you’re in the mood for different shooter vibes, they’ve revamped The House of the Dead 2. Forever Entertainment did that. So, caution, I guess? Or if you’re flipping to the anime side, there’s Demon Slayer and Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Choices, endless choices.
And little oddities, let’s not forget those. The Edge of Allegoria looks like Pokémon RBY got an HD makeover. But is it the worst copyright dodge of the week? Nope. Shout out to Team17’s Ritual of Raven for snagging that title.
Stuff we missed last week? Oh geez, how about a Partner Showcase called Chilling By The Fire? No biggie, unless you count the reset on the “Directs Without Saga Reveal” sign. Square Enix, we’re watching you. Also, a couple of old-school Harvest Moons for Switch and Taito’s “Field Day.” Busy busy.
IS THE EGGCONSOLE GAME PLAYABLE WITHOUT JAPANESE KNOWLEDGE? Apparently, yep! If you’re into action RPGs and all that jazz.
North America
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 ($59.99, if you’re curious: Tuesday)
Gradius Origins at a cool $39.99
Fate/Hollow Ataraxia Remastered (Wednesday vibes, $29.99)
House of the Dead 2 remake at twenty-five bucks
Fitness Adventure Pro same price—because why not?
The Edge of Allegoria and Turbo Kid, both in the $20s
And then there’s Fruitbus, keeping it casual at $19.99
Tons more, like Yarn Guardians on Friday for a cheeky $15
Anyway— full list? Oh, it’s long.
SALES CORNER! Roki is a steal at 90% off till August 17. I mean, who doesn’t love a bargain?
Europe
Demon Slayer over there too, but for €59.99— yikes!
Gradius Origins (€39.99) because Europe wants lasers too.
Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, The House of the Dead 2, all similar prices as the US. Very euro, very class.
Japan
Japan’s got Yuukyuu no Tierblade for a chunk of yen, ¥7700
Gradius Origins there for ¥6380. Lasers worldwide, it seems! 😂
Even more titles like Corpse Party and Ritual of Raven—but man, gotta love those yen figures!
Soooo… what’s your plan? Hit up one of these games or just let ’em pass by? Choices, choices, and yet more choices… or maybe just games I didn’t even know I needed. Who really knows?
