Okay, so here’s the deal: Xbox is mixing things up. They’re throwing out some new tweaks. If you’re an Xbox Insider — which, by the way, sounds cooler than it probably is (or maybe not, who am I to judge?) — you’ll start noticing some changes on the Home screen. I mean, they call it an update, but it’s more like a mini-revamp, if you ask me. It’s their way of saying, “Hey, we’re listening, promise!”
Now, what’s actually different, you might be wondering? Right, so there’s this list of your recently played games and apps. It’s getting a bit of a facelift. Or not exactly. More like a wardrobe change. Three new settings. Imagine that.
First thing, you can now hide those pesky system apps. You know, the ones that make the place look messy. If you’re like me, you just want to see your games without the clutter of miscellaneous stuff. Boom, gone.
Then there’s this thing called pinning your favorites. Like, say, you’ve got three games you’re always diving into. You can pin them right up there, front and center. No more scrolling through the list like a madman trying to find them. I wish life had a pin option sometimes. Just pin my coffee mug to my hand, honestly.
Ah, and soon — they’re still working on it, so don’t hold your breath — you’ll get the option to reduce the number of tiles on the Home screen. Minimalist dream, right? If you like things simple, that’s the one to watch out for.
For now, they’re rolling these changes out to a select group. Makes you feel special, doesn’t it? Or maybe not. Anyway, they’re keen to hear what you think. Seems like we’re all part of this big virtual suggestion box now. And hey, it does matter if Home feels like your own space, a place where your favorites pop and everything else just fades away. Like a curated gallery of your taste, minus the pretension.
So yeah, spill your thoughts through their Report a Problem feature or hop on over to the Xbox Insiders subreddit. Share the love, or the not-so-loving feedback. Every bit counts.
A big thanks to those doing the Insider thing — your word is gold. And if you’re itching to join the ranks and explore new features before the rest, the door’s open. Just grab the Xbox Insider Hub and get in on the action.
Stay connected on Twitter if that’s your thing — never really got Twitter, myself, but it’s there if you want it. Explore, tweak, give feedback, repeat. We’re all just navigating this Xbox journey together, step by step.
Alright, I’m going to grab a snack. Catch you on the flip side.
