Man, so Sony just up and decided to yank some of our favorite PlayStation exclusives from PS Plus. Yeah, those ones you can’t buy or play anywhere else unless you’ve got PS Plus Premium. Remember when they pulled those PS3 gems? Everyone kind of lost it, and honestly, who can blame them?
Okay, so here’s the deal. Some guy named Stephen Totilo from GameFile cornered Sony about this whole mess. He brought up the fact that Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 — along with Infamous: Second Son — got the boot. Now, I sort of get why they might drop Infamous, but seriously, losing the Resistance games? If you’re without a PS3, well, tough luck. They’re gone. Like, poof.
Nick Maguire, who’s some bigwig at PlayStation, chimed in with, “We’ve got 80 collections of games across the catalog.” Sounds like a lot, right? He basically said they want to keep things “fresh.” You know, shake it up a bit. But that involves taking out some games as they bring in new ones. It’s like changing up the toppings on your pizza. But hey, can’t they just add instead of subtracting?
And here’s where my brain gets twisted. The Resistance games, they’re on that super expensive tier — the one without many classics to begin with. So why on earth pull them out? It’s just… strange. I get why super new games might wait to jump onto PS Plus, sure. But the oldies? Come on. How many people are really out there scrambling to pick up old PS3 copies of Resistance now? Feels like they’re pulling a fast one. Or maybe it’s just me overthinking? Yeah, who knows.
