I’m getting ready to dive into this wild quest called “The Trickster’s Shrine” in Titan Quest 2. It’s tucked away in the Southern Farmlands, like a secret you kinda stumble upon. You know those moments when you find a dollar in your old jeans? Yeah, kinda like that, but without the laundry mix-up.
So, here’s the deal. You’re hunting for the Caduceus of Hermes in the Flooded Farmlands. Sounds fancy, right? It’s this staff you need, hidden east from the Southern Farmlands waypoint. It’s just chilling at a crossroads waiting for you—and yeah, there’s a whole bunch of Ichthians guarding it. Fish people. Seriously.
Anyway—or wait, maybe this came first—after you give those squirmy fish folk a run for their money, you wander over to the right. Up this short path, voilà, there’s the Caduceus. Doesn’t kick off the quest itself, oddly enough. Something about it looks like it’s supposed to fit somewhere. LOL, mysteries.
With Caduceus in hand, teleport back to the start of your Southern Farmlands journey. Now, take a detour north to the Shrieking Ruins. If it’s your maiden voyage there, you’ll crash into a fish-versus-bat creature showdown. Clear the area, ’cause you’ll need to fit that shiny staff into a bowl next to some old stone thingy. Poof! Quest log updated.
Next, the mission demands a sacrifice, which gave me all sorts of ancient vibes. There’s a scroll lying around that you’ll need. It’s nestled by some vases, giving off major “I’m important” energy. The scroll whispers about a turtle—the same one’s responsible for Hermes’ first lyre, apparently?
Turtle’s right outside the ruins when you head back, search around the clutches of turtle eggs. If you accidentally got overzealous and eliminated it too soon, a quick game relaunch should pop it back. Gently persuade the turtle to accompany you back to the fiery pit. Here’s the kicker: don’t attack it prematurely; let it join your ceremonial BBQ first. Once you complete the task, congrats! You’re now a richer, more experienced hero with an extra attribute point to boot.
There you go. Quest complete. Or…wait, maybe I skipped a part? Who knows.
