The OneXPlayer team has rolled out the X1 Pro, marking the arrival of a versatile 3-in-1 device equipped with AMD’s Strix Point APUs. Positioned in line with the F1 Pro and the Ayaneo 3, the X1 Pro is one of the early adopters of AMD’s Zen 5 Strix Point technology, poised to give GPD’s upcoming Pocket 4 mini-laptops a run for their money.
The OneXPlayer X1 Pro brings a multifunctional flair, seamlessly transitioning between a laptop, a tablet, and a handheld device. Mirroring the Pocket 4’s offerings, this device is powered by the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, boasting an array of 12 cores featuring a mix of four Zen 5 cores and eight Zen5c cores arranged in a dual-CCX structure. It also houses 12MB of L2 cache, 24MB of L3 cache, and can turbo up to a striking 5.1 GHz. On the graphics front, it integrates the Radeon 890M GPU with 16 Compute Units. The NPU (Neural Processing Unit) in the HX 370, driven by AMD’s XDNA 2 architecture, delivers an impressive 50 trillion operations per second of AI performance.
As for the display, the X1 Pro impresses with a sizable 10.95-inch 120 Hz LTPS panel, likely IPS, offering a sharp 2560×1600 (2.5K) resolution. The screen’s vibrant display capability extends to covering 138% of the sRGB color spectrum, reaching a brightness peak of 540 nits. Storage options are quite flexible, ranging from 1TB to a whopping 4TB, with read and write speeds peaking at 7.1 GB/s and 6.5 GB/s respectively, all in the compact 2280 form factor. To further expand storage, there’s also a handy MicroSD slot.
In terms of pricing, here’s what you’re looking at during the presale: $1,399 gets you the HX 370 model with 1TB of storage and 32GB of RAM, while the top-tier option featuring 4TB of storage and 64GB of RAM is priced at $1,799. These figures rise to $1,599 and $1,999, respectively, once the presale period ends.
The X1 Pro packs a 65.02Wh battery that promises up to eight hours on a full charge, though real-life usage might bring that figure down a notch—especially at a configured 28W load, which can run for approximately two hours. OneXPlayer generously includes a 100W Gallium Nitride charger to keep you powered up. For connectivity, the X1 Pro is outfitted with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
Notably, the device’s built-in controller sports hall-effect RGB joysticks, a thoughtful touch intended to reduce the risk of stick drift. Connectivity options are robust, featuring two USB 4.0 ports, an OCuLink interface, a MicroSD card slot, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
