Free Updates for Assassin’s Creed Shadows: New Game Plus and Expanded Storyline

I gotta say, this whole Ubisoft thing with Assassin’s Creed Shadows feels like someone trying to juggle too many swords… or flaming torches? Either way, they’re promising a whole storm of updates. First up, they’ve got this expansion named Claws of Awaji, coming soon-ish. It’s supposed to fling you into a fresh part of the map—Awaji Island. Fun fact! It’s this tiny place tucked in Japan’s Inland Sea. I mean, who knew? Well, maybe it’s already marked on the current map, but this expansion lets your digital self wander around it. Finally.

Apparently, it picks up where Shadows’ epilogue bails out. Naoe and Yasuke are back for some more virtual shenanigans. Plus, they’ve got a bo—one of those long sticks you twirl around. Very martial arts-y. Pre-ordered the game? You score it for free. Everyone else? Mystery price. Bet it’s not pocket change.

And they’re rolling out these Story Drops. First one hits in May featuring Luis Frois—a missionary in the thick of it with Yasuke when the game starts. June drops another ally for your merry band. These little story nuggets are supposed to shake things up, rewrite backstories or whatever. Sounds like creative chaos.
