Alright, so today’s kind of a big deal for Honkai: Star Rail. You know, if you’ve been hanging on every teaser of this epic crossover event they’ve been hyping up forever. They’ve finally teamed up with Fate/stay night. Yeah, that one.
This whole thing rolled out just about a week after they dropped patch 3.4. And trust me, it wasn’t just some random content they threw in last minute—this was planned. There was a developer chat back in June, kind of spilling the beans on what’s coming. I mean, seriously, who wasn’t looking forward to those new characters?
Speaking of, Saber’s here. Yep, 5-Star, Wind/Destruction type. Then there’s Archer too—Quantum/Hunt, in case you’re wondering. Archer’s basically free as long as you log in during the event. But if you’re hoping for Saber, well, good luck with that; you’ll have to roll for her. At least Archer comes with enough swag to hit level 60 straight away.
So, here’s the thing: They’ve got these new banners now, all bright and shiny for Saber and Archer. No extra luck for the 4-star stuff, but hey, 200 warps and you’ll snag Saber’s light cone for sure. Oh, and the voices? None of the new Fate crew got English voices. MiHoYo’s being a bit tricky there, probably related to some drama with voice actors.
Anyway, there’s more, like a new Trailblaze Continuance—Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail. Plus, there’s this 30-day combat challenge thing you can jump in till August 11. Won’t stick around forever, so if you’re into exclusive rewards, better hustle. After the event, some content will hang around in Conventional Memoir, but those time-limited rewards? Poof, gone.
And yeah, earlier in the month, they brought in some new faces not even related to Fate. You remember Phainon from way back? Now playable, a 5-Star again, Physical/Destruction type. Also, they rolled out the rerun phase with some familiar names like Tribbie and Sparkle. Phase 2 comes on July 23 with Firefly (who’s rocking a new outfit, by the way), Jingliu, and Blade.
Update 3.4 didn’t stop there. They tweaked some game mechanics for Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade. Just as Jingliu gets her moment back in the sun, with an upgraded kit too. Some might say the timing is perfect or purely coincidental. Who knows?
