Alright, so here’s the deal, Square Enix is in a bit of a pickle. Just buried Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, like, yesterday — and it’s already onto Kingdom Hearts 4. And I mean, screens are out there now to prove it! We got Sora’s mugshot, a phone (riveting), some random chick, and oh, get this, Mickey Mouse chillin’ on a chandelier. Just mind-blowing stuff, right?
Anyway, these gems got tossed onto the web via some kind of creative collage on the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter. Along with some mushy thank-yous to fans for hangin’ in there. “Yo, Kingdom Hearts squad! We’re busting our butts on Kingdom Hearts IV. It’s gonna be epic!” At least that’s the vibe I got from their message. Seems they’re sweating hard to make this game worth the hype.
And ya know, since last April 2022, nada from Kingdom Hearts 4. Zilch. Zip. They showed it off at some anniversary shindig, right? Next to the now-kaput Missing-Link. I guess with Missing-Link updating fans more often (but now canceled, ouch), folks were kinda banking on it. And maybe panicking a little. Which is why this tiny tidbit feels like tossing a life jacket to drowning fans.
Should we get hyped for Kingdom Hearts 4 dropping soon? Hah! Yeah, no. No release date yet, and Sora’s English voice guy, Haley Joel Osment, was clueless last I heard in October. To sum up: It’s gonna be ages. A lengthy stretch out in the wilderness, so maybe shelve that real-life keyblade and live a little in the meantime.
When’s the next sneak peek, you reckon? Who knows! Vent below or just let it simmer.
