Hope Becomes Reality: Arc Raiders Launches This October

As part of the big kickoff for today’s Summer Game Fest, something kinda amazing happened that Arc Raiders fans were secretly crossing their fingers for. Ever since that Tech Test wrapped up in May—early May, I kid you not—players have been itching to get back in. Some folks, like seriously, were even asking if maybe they could just release it already. I get it, it was smooth for something still in testing.

Okay, so here’s what happened: they didn’t drop it early, but guess what? We got a release date instead! Yeah, I’m talking October 30, 2025. Mark your calendars, folks! It’s coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Everyone’s relieved for sure. Although, I bet some folks were hoping for another beta test before the big day. Especially those who didn’t make it into Tech Test 2 and ended up just binge-watching other people play. Honestly, just imagining their faces is kind of funny and sad at the same time.

Embark, the minds behind Arc Raiders, has been working on an updated version since that last test. I mean, not that it needed a huge makeover. It’s got that old-school vibe that takes me back to when PUBG was still fresh and exciting. Ah, memories.

And the relationship with Geoff Keighley? Let’s just say it’s solid. The game was first made public at The Game Awards in 2021—back when it was just a co-op thing. And fun fact: their other game, The Finals, was sneaked out in December 2023 during, you guessed it, the Game Awards. So, yeah, fans kinda had a hunch we’d hear something at the Summer Game Fest. And they were right. It’s an exciting time for gamers, I tell ya!
