Whoa, hold up. So, Nintendo’s got this Switch 2 thing happening, right? And already, we’re hitting walls, like—bam. Kazuya Takahashi, who’s big on Donkey Kong Bananza, just laid it out there. Apparently, they’re cranking up the 3D voxel magic in this game, and yeah, “performance may drop.” Wow, right? But hey, they’re all about fun, forget the hiccups. Priorities, huh?
So, there’s this trailer floating around somewhere — probably with bananas flying across the screen or something. Haven’t seen it? No biggie, I guess.
This Donkey Kong adventure totally detoured. Originally, it was for the OG Switch. Imagine, DK breaking walls, digging, smashing—like, in your face action. It’s wild! But guess what? The voxel engine, it’s a beast. Hence, Switch 2. Needed more oomph, I suppose.
A chat with Takahashi revealed some quirks. Frame drops? Yeah, those happen. But is it a bug or a feature, right? They’re using slow-mo and all, making it dramatic. So, if the scene’s wrecking itself… things might stutter. But, supposedly, still a blast.
Now, performance snags… Are they ironing those out? Maybe an update or tweak down the line. Fingers crossed. They might just crank up the DLSS or something techy like that. Cross your fingers.
Blast from the past, though. Remember Comanche: Maximum Overkill? Yeah, me neither. But apparently, it had voxels too, back in ’92. Nostalgia trip much?
Oh, and if you’re counting down the days, get hyped for this Thursday (July 17). Donkey Kong’s about to drop. Bet it’ll be a ride. Just another day in gaming paradise.
