Swen Vincke, the CEO of Larian Studios, shared on social media how the player count soared following the release of Patch 8. Before the update, the peak player numbers on Steam sat around 62,101, but they shot up dramatically to over 169,000 shortly after. Vincke expressed his gratitude, noting that the patch “got a lot of people playing again,” and he remains optimistic about the game’s future, bolstered by a vibrant modding community. With Patch 8 now in their rearview mirror, Vincke is looking ahead. The focus shifts to “the next big thing,” hinting at Larian’s next project.
